Annual Traditions at Christ Lutheran Church
Peanut Butter Easter Egg Fundraiser (February)
Join us as we host our annual Easter Egg Fundraiser. Children and adults alike love our famous homemade chocolate-covered peanut butter eggs, and the money from sales goes toward keeping the church funded.
Lenten Fish Dinner (March)
Join us to enjoy a fresh fish dinner during the season of Lent. Stop by to dine in or order takeout. Reservations are strongly recommended.
The Eucharist for a National Holiday (July)
To celebrate our American pride, we welcome the Hazleton Liberty Band to perform during the service in addition to our usual music. The big band is always a treat, and we welcome all to join us for the occasion.
Summertime Tea (July)
Relax and enjoy some tea, pastries, and other light fare. Both hot and cold tea will be available, along with lemonade, water, and gluten-free food options. Your spot will have to be reserved in advance, with three different time slots to choose from.
Peach Social (August)
Our annual Peach Social centers around the mouth-watering combination of peaches and ice cream, but there will be even more to enjoy. Make your reservation to dine on tasty hot dogs, hamburgers, sloppy joes, salads, and more.
Blessing of the Pets (October)
Yes, you read correctly, on the first Sunday afternoon of October we bring our pets to the church for a special blessing.
Harvest Home Sunday (October)
Our Harvest Home week occurs in October and it is always an enjoyable week to join us in worship as we thank God for the harvest feat he has provided through collecting cans of non-perishables for those in need.
Pork and Sauerkraut Dinner (October)
There’s nothing like a traditional pork and sauerkraut dinner. We’ll be serving it up with mashed potatoes, veggies, and an assortment of drinks and desserts. During the month of October, make your reservation by signing the sheet in the gathering place.
